About our Founder...
Introducing Kidada Amani, an esteemed beauty industry luminary, educator, creative force, and captivating storyteller. With over two decades of experience, Kidada has left an indelible mark on the beauty landscape. Hailing from Buffalo, NY, her journey began as a second-generation beauty professional and the daughter of a successful salon owner, instilling in her a deep-rooted love for the artistry and business of beauty.
Kidada's pursuit of knowledge led her to Atlanta, GA, where she earned her degree in Hospitality/Business Administration at Morris Brown College, proudly representing her HBCU alma mater. Her journey unfolded as a licensed skincare professional in both New York and Georgia, initiating a successful freelance makeup career on music video sets, collaborating with industry icons like Alicia Keys, T.I., Ludacris, Fergie and many more.
The transition to beauty retail marked a pivotal moment for Kidada, as she immersed herself in learning the business of beauty. She lent her skills and leadership to renowned brands such as MAC Cosmetics (Estée Lauder Co.), Sephora (LVMH Brands), and JCPenney, and contributed to the success of major retailers like Nordstrom, Macy's, and Bloomingdales.
Kidada's expertise extends beyond the corporate realm. Having received accolades for her role as a leader, business-driver, and advocate for women of color in executive leadership, she's become a trailblazer and an inspiration to colleagues globally. Her journey from corporate leadership to consulting for retail giants, brand founders, and beauty startups showcases her business acumen and passion for driving success in the beauty industry.
Beyond her professional achievements, Kidada is a devoted advocate for women's empowerment. She founded the mentoring organization Women Of Exodus and actively serves on the boards of non-profit organizations such as Make Believe Village Project and Make Your Name Great, Inc. Her commitment to fostering greatness led to the launch of the "Beauty from Ashes" podcast, a platform where she continues to inspire and share her wealth of industry wisdom. *For clients who require additional support or have specific needs, we offer hourly consulting services at a rate of $150 per hour.
